Denon DHT-391XP : The Denon DHT391XP raises the performance bar for “HTIB” systems. It features the powerful Denon AVR391, a 5.1 channel home theater AV reciever boasting 3D compatible, 1080p capable HDMI 1.4a repeating technology (4 in, 1 out). This allows simple one cable connectivity to any HDMI equiped HD TV. The HDMI connectivity also supports the latest generation surround sound formats available on Blu-ray disc, including Dolby TrueHD and DD+, dts-HD and DTS-HR. The AVR-391′s 5 x 110-Watt (6-ohms, 1kHz) amplifier section features discrete circuitry to deliver detail and dynamics to your music and movie selections. Complimenting the AVR-391 is a relatively compact, yet powerful 5.1 speaker package. The front speakers are a 2-way “LCR” design using dual 3-inch woofers flanking a 1-inch tweeter. Denon DHT-391XP Review ;

I bought this system around one month ago from Amazon and am very pleased with the purchase. I was little worried about Denon speakers as there were not many reviews for speakers but knew that they make very fine receivers. Anyhow I decided to take the plunge considering the good service Amazon would provide if I was not happy.

Oh boy glad I made the decision. For the low price this package comes you cannot compare it with any other systems. Yes there are home theatre systems with better receivers and sound system but not for this price.

My living room is fair sized (16 x 14) and so far I am happy with the sound quality. This system does not have Audyssey and dynamic volume control but for that I had to shell out an extra 250 and decided to live without those features. This is my first HTIB and I have not tweaked many settings but still watching movies and listening to music is a pleasure.

I am not providing any technical details as its available out there but wanted to add a review to help others buy the system if they do not want to break the bank but still need a good, solid entry level HTIB.
